Agave amica, Mexican Tuberose

Formerly categorized as Polianthes tuberosa, this short, rosette Agave sports soft leaves, grassy until midsummer, which are followed by oversized white blooms with an intense and beloved perfume. Used throughout history and several cultures as a highly desired fragrance. Likes a sunny to part sun position in the landscape. Be sure to plant it near a bench or window to enjoy the late summer fragrance.
