Cornus drummondii, Roughleaf Dogwood

A great understory tree that is native to riparian areas, but will tolerate an incredibly wide range of soil types in Central Texas. Grows to 12' and can begin to sucker into clumps with age.  Beneficial to native bees, butterflies and birds. Great seasonal interest with white flowers in Spring, followed by cream-colored fruit, and good fall color before leaf drop.
