A powerhouse tree; drought tolerant, heat tolerant, nectar and berry source, larval host...what's not to love? Reaches a mature height of 40' and a similar spread. If left alone, it may form suckers and thickets. Easily kept as a "lollipop" by pruning ground suckers. White flowers in Spring and summer, and attractive small yellow berries. Mostly evergreen unless temperatures drop below normal for a significant time, where leaves will fall, but return in Spring. Becoming more sought-after for bonsai.
