Fleischmannia incarnata, Pink Mistflower

A unique member of the Eupitorieae tribe--often referred to as "mistflowers," is a pink to purple blooming, medium-sized deciduous shrub or subshrub with lime-green leaves. Does best in good garden conditions, and prefers a break from the sun in the afternoon.  Will draw tremendous numbers of bees and butterflies in the fall, where its blooms will be the most profuse. Blend with other mistflowers such as Blue Boneset or Gregg's Mistflower for a fun mix, or with other woodland-edge perennials such as Turk's Cap or Lawn Sedge for a more naturalistic, mixed-texture garden. Shear back in late winter to encourage fresh new growth.
