Fraxinus albicans, Texas Ash

A small tree, often multi-trunk with great drought resistance and beautiful fall color. Not to be confused with it's reviled cousin--Arizona Ash, which typically is seen in stump form. Texas Ash is native from Oklahoma to northern Mexico where drainage is excellent. A stellar and underused tree, particularly well-suited for low-maintenance yards.
