Muhlenbergia capillaris, Gulf Muhly

The "cranberry mist" of early fall is hard to miss. It is a stunning profusion of airy, wispy deep pink to red blooms atop a handsome "orb" of native grass. Before blooms, plant is a sturdy 2' X 2', and add a foot in every direction--maybe more-- with this stunner. Plant in masse for effect, or to highlight a prominent sculpture, tree, or view. This native clumpgrass is in a category entirely its own.
