Asclepias tuberosa, Native Orange Milkweed

One of the most widespread and adaptable native milkweeds. Profusions of orange flowers will pop off through the warm season. This plant will be the epicenter of pollinator and beneficial insect activity. Leave the aphids--that will inevitably arrive--to bring ladybugs to your garden. Larval host to Queen, Monarch and Grey Hairstreak butterflies, and nectar source for many native bees.
