Callirhoe involucrata, Winecup

A mat-forming perennial with a massive bloom in Spring, and then sporadically through the growing season. Blooms are a deep pink to magenta, sometimes even deepening to Kool-Aid purple. Great in a mixed native landscape where it occupies the "groundcover" role, spreading up to 3', but staying very short. Pair with Yellow asters and shortgrasses for a fun wildflower meadow.
