Carex cherokeensis, 'Cherokee Sedge'

A native sedge with a slightly coarser texture than other sedges. Prefers decent garden conditions, but can get by with very little care. Part sun is best, particularly when irrigation is sparse. Attains a height of 16" with pendulous, thick seedheads in Spring. Interesting texture when paired with ferns, other sedges to create a whimsical vibe.
