Catalpa bignoniodes, Southern Catalpa

A native tree with very large leaves, smooth bark and a beautiful springtime flower cluster that, once pollinated, becomes a very long "bean pod." Trees require regular irrigation for their first year and then occasional deep waterings thereafter. Flowers are beloved by bees. Will attain a height of 40' and similar spread.
